Why can’t we join online races in progress? I spend way more time waiting in a lobby for the current race to finish up than I do actually racing.

It would be nice if they would at least let you join the race in ghost mode or something, so that you could alleviate some of the boredom through practice/sightseeing laps.

Just a Forza Horizons-like lobby would be fine. Or a parking garage you can do burnouts in.

I don’t know, just ghost you in so that you can race, but not affect the outcome. I’d even be fine with not getting any XP for it. I just hate sitting there doing nothing.

Maybe let you practice on the next track? That’s kinda what iRacing does.
